In the past year West Berks Mencap has proved it is truly the best in the country – providing unsurpassed services to people with learning disabilities in the local community. On 2nd June, to top it all, it was announced that West Berks Mencap has been awarded the prestigious UK national honour, the Queen’s Award For Voluntary Service, in recognition of the fantastic contribution the charity’s volunteers make in West Berkshire.

Gecko has been working with WB Mencap since 2008, and is delighted to be part of this great organisation. All at Gecko were overwhelmed when Leila Ferguson CEO of WB Mencap said today ‘West Berkshire Mencap and Gecko have worked together for several years now and the impact that West Berkshire Mencap have had as a result has been considerable. Gecko has a real understanding of current and future issues and address them in a relevant and timely way.’
